Since 2017-2018, I began my professional journey by working as a Barback for a year. My responsibilities included supporting bartenders by restocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and ensuring the bar area remained organized and efficient. This experience not only taught me the value of teamwork and attention to detail, but also introduced me to the fast-paced environment of the hospitality industry.
After spending a year as a Barback, I decided to switch roles and became a front-line cook in a food establishment. Here, I was responsible for preparing and presenting meals, managing kitchen inventory, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This hands-on experience in the kitchen helped me further develop my multitasking abilities and heightened my appreciation for quality service.
Seeking new challenges and opportunities, I transitioned into a delivery position. As a delivery driver, I ensured timely and accurate delivery of food orders to customers, handled transactions, and maintained a friendly and professional demeanor. This role allowed me to enhance my communication skills and provided an in-depth understanding of customer service dynamics.
Eager to expand my skill set beyond the hospitality industry, I pursued an IT internship, even though the position was unpaid and lasted only a few months. During my internship, I gained valuable experience by assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical support to staff, and learning about various IT systems. This early exposure to the field of information technology sparked my interest and set the foundation for my future career path.
From 2018 to 2025, I have been working as an IT and Network Manager and Linux Server Administrator. In this role, I have been responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure, managing network security, implementing software updates, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth operation of technical systems. My responsibilities also include training staff on new technologies and managing IT projects. Over the years, I have developed strong problem-solving skills and have played a crucial role in maintaining the technological backbone of the organization.
Currently, I have expanded my professional responsibilities even further. In addition to my position as IT and Network Manager, I also work in maintenance for six Anthem Coffee stores located in Washington state. My duties involve performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment and facility issues, and ensuring that the stores operate at peak efficiency. Balancing these roles requires excellent time management and organizational skills, and I take great pride in contributing to the success and smooth operation of each location.
Looking back, my career journey has been marked by adaptability, a willingness to learn, and a passion for helping businesses thrive both behind the scenes and on the front lines. Each role has provided unique experiences and valuable lessons that have shaped me into a versatile and dedicated professional.
